Vanessa Ronecker Marsa Alam Dive Centre Manager My name is Vanessa Ronecker and I come from Germany. I have been diving for more than 10 years and began whilst at school. My interest was ignited again in Cuba where I did my Open Water course. The German lakes were simply too attractive for me not to explore! Since 2004 I have been diving and living in the Red Sea area. When I first came here I did my Divemaster training, which was mainly shore diving in Al Quseir. Enjoying the job so much, I became an Instructor in 2005. After having worked for two years doing shore diving, I needed a change and moved on to the South.

At Emperor Divers Marsa Alam I found the perfect set up to gain more experience in boat diving. I love the diving down here because the dive sites are fantastic for beginners and experienced divers; you always have a chance of meeting a surprise in the water. It's both relaxed and still yet you can have some challenging dives to improve your skills. At the same time it's a brilliant place for teaching diving!

I have been working in Port Ghalib since 2006 and have seen the place growing and improving. Over the years we have built up a great team, not only the diving staff but also the boat and ground crew. This is the atmosphere which makes me stay and love the place! And I think this is what our guests also feel...and that's why we welcome them back time and time again.
