Scuba Diving.....the expression brings up visions of colourful coral reefs, sunken ships, beautiful fish life, exciting and exotic locations.  Do words like Jacque Cousteau, The Blue Planet, Oceans, Hans and Lottie Hass, The Great Barrier Reef,  excite you?  Then Scuba Diving is for you.  70% of the planet is underwater but we know more about the surface of the moon than the underwater world!  You too can become an underwater explorer.  Its easier than you think!  From its inception in the early 60s, Scuba Diving has changed radically with technology. With comfortable and easy to use equipment Scuba Diving is open to people of all ages, from 8 years old up to 80 years.

 

 

PADI stands for the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.  With over 5000 PADI centers worldwide and a tried and proven system of diver education, PADI  is by far the biggest scuba training agency on the planet. We here at Oxygene Surrey have earned the rating of a 5 Star PADI IDC Centre.  This is one of the highest ratings awarded and enables us to teach courses from beginner 'Try Dives', PADI Discover Scuba, all the way up to PADI Instructor level.
 

 

A summary of beginner courses, for more info please click on each main title:

 

PADI Discover Scuba - This is a pool dive only.  Costing just £30 and lasting around 1.5 hours from start to finish, this is the perfect starting point for ages 10 through to adults.

 

PADI Bubblemaker - This takes place in the pool under the close supervision of a PADI Instructor.  With mini scuba kit, its a 'Try Dive' for kids aged between 8-10 years of age.

 

PADI Open Water Course - The first certification level on the PADI pathway.  This is how the 'World Learns to Dive'.
