Day 5: - Get a second chance to explore more of the deep wreck Maiden at Rocky Island or deep cave system at Shaab Sharm depending on weather.

Day 6: - To finish off the trip, a visit to the famous Elphinstone Reef is required to dive along its stunning walls and through its Arch before returning to port

PLEASE NOTE:

ALL THE ABOVE ROUTES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE DEPENDING ON A NUMBER OF FACTORS WHICH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • The weather
  • The time of the year (Length of daylight hours)
  • The ability & experience levels of the divers
  • Any special needs of the guests (training sites, specific depths etc)

It should also be made clear that on the southern routes divers will be a long way from the nearest medical recompression facility (up to 12 hours at the furthest points). In Egypt you cannot rely on any speedy air evacuation but must rely on the safari boat having returned to the nearest port for an evacuation by road.

In addition, the southern route does involve A LOT of travelling, with up to 12 hours at a time of overnight travelling times and up to six hours travelling in the daytime on occasions.

Technical safaris

Technical safaris

Seven-day Technical liveaboard safaris give the perfect opportunity to discover and explore unknown wrecks and reefs that the Red Sea has to offer.

There are trips to the northern area of the Rea Sea and to the Southern areas, diving areas previously out of reach to the normal recreational diver.

The water temperature and the dive sites make it possible to do two dives in one:The first part being a deep dive exploring a wreck, a surprising canyon or an astonishing wall in crystal clear water. The second part of the same dive is spent in shallow water, swimming around colorful coral reefs, teeming with marine life, while completing the decompression stops.

Important Note:
This trip is only open to certified technical divers as some dive sites are deep and beyond the capabilities and range of the recreational diver. It is designed to fulfill the needs of the Decompression, Extended Range and Trimix divers, using open circuit scuba or rebreather.?The dive sites are selected according to the experience, qualification and wishes of our guests.

The safari boat is specially adapted to offer a full range of technical diving services:

  • Comfortable diving area, with convenient ladders, large boat deck with ample space. For obvious reasons, the trip is limited to a maximum of 15 Technical divers
  • A very helpful crew, ready to provide you with the most enjoyable diving environment, to help you exit the water or carry heavy gear.
  • All types of mixes (from nitrox to trimix) blended by a certified gas blender according to your needs.
  • CCR-friendly services with rebreather specific cylinders and sofnolime available on board.
  • All the necessary equipment on board (analysers, blending panels, nitrox and air compressors).
  • A very well equipped rental department (all technical gear, lift bags, CCR).
  • Reliable first aid procedures and equipment. All our crew is trained to understand the specific needs and procedures of technical divers.
  • An experienced Tekstreme guide(s) who can also train you, if needed, to specific techniques (mixed gas diving, rebreather, advanced wreck penetration).
  • Comfortable cabins and lounge with Media player, TV and music… and the much appreciated food and drink.
