Oxygene Gothenburg is located across the street from the south entrance of Liseberg amusement park. There are plenty of parking spaces along the street, which is handy if you want your tanks filled. If you have heavy doubles, you're welcome to borrow our cart!

Our shop carries the widest selection of dive gear in Sweden, with a full line of equipment for recreational scuba diving, snorkelling, skin diving, digital underwater photography, wreck diving and cave diving, along with a large assortment of spare parts.

Our facilities include a fully equipped workshop where we service most regulator brands, cylinders, BCDs, suits, computers, lights etc. We also provide an oxygen cleaning service.

We offer absolutely clean, nitrox-compatible air fills, nitrox, trimix and oxygen fills from our top-of-the-line, CE-approved fill-station, where the air is continuously analysed on-line. Naturally we provide new, clean and fresh-looking equipment, including dry-suits, for training and rental.

Open Water Diver

Take your dive education seriously and learn to dive with the pros!

Open Water Diver is the beginners course in PADI`s education system and is a course for you that wishes to discover the fantastic underwater world.
Our experienced instructors, all with great experience of diving in Nordic water, will teach you the basics of diving and guide you on the road to becoming a great diver. We begin with a combination of dive theory in the classroom and teaching of the basic dive techniques in confined waters. Afterwards we continue with training dives and pleasure dives in the ocean, then a final theory test will conclude your education. At the succesfull conclusion of the course you will receive an Open Water Diver certificate from the international dive organization PADI. With this you will be able to dive, rent equipment or continue your dive education anywhere in the world.

Continuing Education/Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver is not a course in advanced diving, as you might believe. Rather, it is a course designed to help you advance as a diver, and is one which most divers choose to enroll in shortly after their entry-level course. If you have had a break from diving for a while, this course can be an excellent opportunity to get back on track again.

In the course of a weekend you will do five dives during which you get to experience different types of recreational scuba diving together with an instructor. This sampling of different scuba disciplines makes it easier for you to choose which way to take in your future career as a diver. Together with an Oxygène instructor you will improve your buoyancy control and gain more experience in safe and relaxed circumstances.

Rescue Diver
Would you like to be a safer diver while at the same time become a better dive buddy? PADI’s Rescue Diver course teaches you a number of skills that are good to know both for diving and for your private life.

PADI’s Rescue Diver couse is designed for those of you who wish to develop your rescue skills while at the same time learning to take control of an accident site.

Among other things, you will learn to both prevent and respond to a dive accident, how a person reacts in an emergency situation and special rescue techniques while diving. As well, you learn to detect, prevent and handle stress within yourself and others, an important skill in todays society.
 

Teach others

Scuba diving means facing new challenges. It is one of very few activities combining intense adrenalin rushes with peaceful tranquillity. You can take on challenges, which demand strenuous training, careful planning and dogged commitment.

Divemaster
The PADI Divemaster program not only presents you with many new challenges, it also opens brand new job opportunities. You become a professional PADI member and can apply for positions as divemaster all over the world. The course prepares you to plan and lead dive trips and assist and accompany student divers during training.

Instructor Courses
There are few things more rewarding than teaching others to dive! Do you feel the way we do? In that case, working with people under water is just the right thing for you.

As a scuba instructor you teach scuba diving to beginners, a serious responsibility which calls for solid knowledge of dive theory, extensive experience and a good way with people.

Technical courses

We can give you the freedom to explore the unknown, beyond the limits of recreational diving.

The Oxygene Diving Society Gothenburg

The diving society arranges dive trips and excursions for beginners and experienced divers all year round. We go by car from the dive centre to the dive-sites around Orust, the Gullmar fjord or Lysekil. A Divemaster/Instructor brings the oxybox, dive flag and spare parts, and will guide you to the best diving. A very good oppurtunity to meet other divers.
